Overview

The e-Krishi Anudan Scheme is launched by the central government to boost farming activities in India. This project provides various subsidies to Indian farmers, including:

• Farming Equipment Subsidy
• Subsidy on Fertilizers
• Subsidy on Tractors
• Subsidy on Seeds

The goal is to strengthen the farming sector in India.

Types of Subsidies

Who Can Register?

The following entities can apply for the subsidies:

• Farmers: Individuals who will benefit from the subsidy.
• Manufacturers: Producers of farming equipment, fertilizers, and related products.
• Dealers or Wholesalers: Businesses that sell farming-related products and provide services.

Application Process

Subsidy amounts do not go directly to the farmer's account. Instead, the amount is credited to the manufacturer, wholesaler, or distributor's account. Here’s how it works:

1. Farmers receive a Release Order (R.O.) after the application is processed.
2. To obtain the R.O., farmers must pay the applicable amount in advance.
3. For example, if a farmer books a tractor worth ₹800,000, with a subsidy of ₹400,000, the farmer must pay ₹400,000 in advance.
4. Once registered, the farmer will receive the registered dealer's account details to submit the Payable Amount.
5. After submitting the payment, the government subsidy amount is allocated to the registered dealer, and the farmer receives the Release Order.

Application Fee

A refundable application fee is required as per the following categories:

• General: ₹10,000
• OBC: ₹8,000
• SC/ST: ₹5,000

Note: This fee is refundable. If an applicant does not receive the subsidy or if a Release Order is not issued, the fee will be refunded to the farmer.
